This handbook, which aims to promote a collaborative approach to collective bargaining, was created in the same kind of atmosphere. In the spring of 2002, the Center for Solidarity organized a series of seminars on an interesting approach to collective bargaining, which was jointly attended by representatives of trade unions, employers and the Government. The seminars were intended for future lecturers on this topic, so that they could further teach within their organizations / institutions and contribute to the spread of such an approach to collective bargaining that would not be based on rivalry, which would produce fewer conflicts and disputes, while improving industrial relations. social dialogue as a model for resolving open issues in Croatia.
One possible way to conduct training on a collaborative approach to collective bargaining is for two lecturers, one union representative and one employer (or government), to hold a seminar together for members of both negotiating teams at the same time, before the negotiations take place. This would promote an equal understanding of the collective bargaining procedure by both parties involved in the process and encourage them to behave in a way that meets the interests of both parties.
