Slobodan Šnajder won this year's Meša Selimović Award for his novel "The Age of Brass"

The critic unanimously labeled "The Age of Brass" as Šnajder's major work and one of the most significant works published in recent years, even decades in the Croatian and regional literature, as it is confirmed by this award! This year seventeen works have been nominated for the best novel published in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia and Serbia and, together with "The Age of Brass", a novel by Croatian author Robert Perišić and two novels by Serbian writers, Svestislav Basara and Dragan Velikić, as well as a novel by a Bosnian writer Hadžem Hajdarević were in the top five. The award ceremony was held in Tuzla on September 3, 2016 at the 16th international literary meetings "Cum grano salis". Read more in our News section.
