Slobodan Šnajder won the "Kočićevo pero" award

Members of the jury, Miljenko Jergović, Mladen Vesković and Nikola Vukolić (President) decided to award Slobodan Šnajder with "Kočić pero" from the "Petar Kočić" foundation for autumn 2016 for his novel "The Age of Brass". "Šnajder's novel 'The Age of Brass' confirms an old maxim that the writing is not only about one's knowledge (which is only the material), but it should rather be about erudition, as well as imagination, sensibility, that is to say, everything that will give the work its fullness, richness and impressiveness of an artistic expression," said the President of the jury Nikola Vukolić. The award will be presented to Slobodan Šnajder at the "Interliber" Zagreb Book Fair, on Friday, November 11th 2016 at 12 PM in the 6th pavillion.
