Presentation of the book ''The new faces of fascism''

On Tuesday, February 19th, in the crowded Hall of Cultural Society "Miroslav Shalom Freiberger", we presented the book The New Faces of Fascism  by Enzo Travers, an Italian historian who deals with holocaust and totalitarian issues.

In his book Traverso explains fascism through a fine comparative analysis of 20th-century fascism, and its new faces at the beginning of the twenty-first century. The book was presented by prof. Tihomir Cipek, prof. Rade Kalanj, prof. Dragan Lalović, Višeslav Raos and editor Dijana Bahtijari, mostly focusing on Traverso's attempt to define fascism in the 21st century and on a new term, "post-fascism", introduced by the author. In the world dissapointed with the failure of utopis, that feeds on fantasized promises of a return to a mythical past, Traverso provides essential tools to deal with this dangerous use of history.
