RHYTHM&BOOK: „Darkness is (not) bad“ with Sigri Sandberg
On Wednesday, November 15, in the packed Botaničar, we held the third and last meeting as part of the Rhythm&Book project, where Norwegian author Sigri Sandberg was a guest and presented her book In Defense of Darkness. Stars, fear and five nights in the wild. In a conversation with Vlatka Kolarović, she revealed to us why she decided to face her fear of the dark, what good it brought her and why we should all look a lot less at screens and more at the starry sky. Then the translator of the book, Mišo Grundler, and the journalist Karmela Devčić presented several of their observations and experiences with darkness, and Dijana Bahtijari, director of TIM press, gave the final word. Plazmatick provided us with a great soundscape this Wednesday as well.
Thank you for being with us and we hope to see you at the same place next year!
You can watch the author's appearance in the show Art a la carte on the HRTi platform.
We completed this program with the support of the Culture Office of the City of Zagreb, and Sigri Sandberg's visit to Zagreb was co-financed by NORLA and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in the Republic of Croatia.
