A big interview with Sigri Sandberg

In the magazine „Svijet kulture“ a great interview with Sigri Sandberg, author of the book An Ode to Darkness. Stars, Fear and Five Nights in the Wild was published, Karmela Devčić spoke to the author. „‘In Svalbard during the polar night,days are dark like I couldn't have imagined before I came, it's the same darkness in the middle of the day and in the middle of the night, you have to control your life rhythm and sleep well in order to function well’, says Sigri as we sit in her apartment in Oslo, which has a lot of memories of Svalbard. Already at the front door, and before I entered her apartment, I saw a piece of wood washed up by the ocean, and she had brought it from Svalbard. As we tell the story, she rhythmically moves the wool through the needles. While knitting, she continues to talk to me.“
