Presentation of the book „Another kind of madness. Journey through the stigma and hope of mental illness“

Dear readers, yesterday at the Library and reading room „Bogdan Ogrizović“, we presented the book Antoher kind of madness. A Journey through the Stigma and Hope of Mental Illness by Stephen P. Hinshaw. Translator Dijana Bahtijari gave an introduction, read a couple of interesting excerpts from the book and emphasized the importance of fighting against the stigma of mental illness by which are affected not only the patients but the members of their families, as well as the medical and psychology specialists that are helping them. The reviewers doc. dr. sc. Anita Lauri Korajlija and prof. dr. sc. Slađana Štrkalj Ivezić and prof. dr. sc. Slobodan Uzelac agreed that this book is a good combination of fiction and non-fiction, difficult-themed book which is easy to read, a book equally understandable to a layman, psychologist and a psychiatrist, and recommended it for reading.
