„A new, distinctive dimension of one dark period“

Review of Lisa Fittko's book „My Way Across the Pyrenees“ was published in Novi list, shocking memoirs from the twilight of mankind that testify to war cowardice and xenophobia, but also to the courage of the people who defied them. Jaroslav Pecnik concluded about the book:

„Lisa Fittko in her book sheds light on one dark period, but her work is not so much about people as it is about events; although there is nothing in it that we did not know before, it gave a new, distinctive dimension to all these events. From her perspective, she painted the age of evil convinced that these are things and events that should not be kept silent and should be constantly reminded of. Not so much that they would not be forgotten, but that they would not be repeated.“
