Our guests will present nine House of Good Books titles over three shows, all moderated by experienced Croatian Radiotelevision editor and presenter Vlatka Kolarović, while one of Croatia’s leading electronic artists, Plazmatick, will be securing the good vibes.
For all those who won’t be able to joins us at Pločnik, the shows will be recorded and then uploaded to our YouTube channel.
The third event, titled What translators read when they’re not translating, is scheduled for Wednesday December 15ᵗʰ at 6 PM, and will showcase three books – Sovietistan by Erika Fatland, Philosophy of Lying by Lars Svendsen and Henrik Ibsen’s Peer Gynt. Join us at Pločnik and find out what links these three seemingly unrelated books, who Peer Gynt actually is, what sort of traps of the trade translators most often fall into and what they read in their free time... Our translator Mišo Grundler and moderator Vlatka Kolarović will be discussing all these topics.
The program is supported by the Office of Culture of the City of Zagreb.
See you there!
