Jean Markale
Jean Markale (1928 – 2008) is a pseudonym of a renowned French writer, poet, radio host and lecturer Jean Bertrand.
Markale often writes about myths of old societies and their megalithic buildings, Templates and Druids, but he also wrote numerous books about the Celts and their culture, paying special attention to the role of women in the Celtic society. Some of his most famous works include Les Grands bardes gallois (1956), Aliénor d'Aquitaine (1979), Paroles celtes (1996), La grande déesse (1997), Haloween: histoire et traditions (2000), Amour et sexualité chez les Celtes (2005).
