Sixty minutes of anthropology in Pločnik

Sixty minutes of anthropology in Pločnik

On Tuesday, October 4th, we hosted the first get-together under the Rhythm&Book program!

The anthropologist Andrea Matošević and the moderator Vlatka Kolarović discussed anthropology – the most tolerant science, commenting on, through a discussion on the titles of Claude Lévi-Strauss and Marc Aime, the basic problems of today's anthropology, the burden that the discipline carries today due to the wrong assessments of some anthropologists in the past. Since our guest's area of interest is the anthropology of work, the discussion was about work under socialism and today, as well as about the big changes in the way booming tourism affects the community. Besides intellectual conversations, numerous visitors enjoyed Plazmatick's rhythms in the pleasant atmosphere of the Pločnik club. You can see a part of last night's atmosphere in the gallery.

Tuesday, October 25th – same place, same time, different guests and topics – see you!

We carried this program out with the support of City office for culture of the City of Zagreb.
