Round table and book promotion held on Kliofest

On the penultimate day of Kliofest, May 18, we held a round table titled A new look at Heidegger in which the editors of the collection of papers Goran Gretić and Hašim Bahtijari, as well as Nadežda Čačinovič and Jaroslav Pecnik participated. After the introductory speech by Hašim Bahtijari, who explained how TIM press's interest in Heidegger began in 2016 with the book Philosophers and Love, Nadežda Čačinovič gave an insight into Heidegger not only as a philosopher, but also into his personality, especially focusing on his relationship with Hannah Arendt. Goran Gretić spoke about the Black Notebooks and the upheaval caused by their discovery, as well as the extent to which Heidegger's involvement in the Nazi regime influenced his philosophy. In the end, Jaroslav Pecnik gave his review of Bourdieu's book The Political Ontology og Martin Heidegger, pointing out that Bourdieu advocates a double reading of Heidegger – philosophical and political.
In the afternoon, the presentation of the book Philosophy of Politics by Robert Blažević was held,the speakers were Slaven Ravlić, Ivan Pađen, Ivan Koprić, the author himself and Hašim Bahtijari as moderator. The speakers agreed that Blažević's book is an extremely valuable read that fills a gap in the Croatian production of books on philosophy.
