New title – „With the fairies“

The third title by Sylvain Tesson published by TIM press, With the Fairies, is taking us on a sailing journey along the Atlantic coast!

The fairy is not tamed or ordered, like the bird in the opera Carmen. When we least expect it, it is there; when we seek it, it flees. We can give it a name at any moment when, before the beauty of a face or landscape, the creature feels relieved in oblivion.
With the Fairies is a travelogue by Sylvain Tesson about a three-month journey by sailboat along the dreamy shores of the Atlantic. Accompanied by friends Arnaud Humann and Benoît Lettéron, the author sets off from Gijón, in the northwest of Spain, following the summer wind across Brittany and La Manche, all the way to the magical lands of Cornwall, Wales, the Isle of Man, Ireland and finally – mystical Scotland.
The sea is not their only expanse – they occasionally wander on land and explore hidden corners of the coast and inland on foot or by bicycle. Tesson’s view of the world is shaped by a deep sensitivity – the landscapes they pass through are not just landscapes, they are woven into local legends and myths. The author's distinctive, poetic writing style offers not only images, but also forebodings: perhaps a fairy is hiding behind the rock emerging from the sea.
