„Is Europe Christian?“ in Glas Koncila

Glas Koncila published a review of the book Is Europe Christian? by Olivier Roy, in which the author discusses the historical connection between religion and society, the religious conditioning of sociological phenomena and its changes from the medieval domination of Christianity on the European continent, to the present day:

„According to the author, until the 1960s, the subject of controversy was not fundamental ethical principles - secularists, including Marxists, were against abortion, divorce, promiscuous behavior. The subject of dispute was two questions: who has control over social morality and the question of whether morality comes from God or whether human reason is sufficient to establish a ‛natural moral law.’ But the 1960s radically violated the fundamental consensus on natural moral law.“
