Central Asian imaginarium in Mediteran

Mediteran, the literary edition of Novi list published Jaroslav Pecnik’s review of the Fatland travelogue Sovietistan. While pointing out the travelogue’s achievements, Pecnik highlighted:

“The author has studiously approached the matter, and has enriched it with splendid observations on her trip through Central Asia with a series of details she had seen and heard through direct contact with various people she had met. Among us little is known about the aforementioned Central Asian, presently independent nations; a bit more mostly when they find themselves on the front pages of the leading world media, generally when bloody unrests and protests occur.”
