„A text that meanders between fiction and fiction“

On March 16, Vijenac magazine published an overview of volumes 1 and 2 of Kafka's Diaries, written by Lucija Butković on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of his birth. Among other things, Butković states that this extensive manuscript „beautifully complements Kafka's oeuvre and represents the specifics of the diary genre“ and that it is a text that we tend to read as a diary, but that it certainly goes beyond that form if the author's literary technique and the quality of the text are taken into account.
