Vlada Urošević

Vlada Urošević (Skopje, 1934) is a Macedonian poet, storyteller, novelist, essayist, critic, anthologist and translator. He studied and obtained his doctorate at the University of Skopje, where he later taught literature. He is a four-time winner of the „Braća Miladinov“ award at the Struga Poetry Evenings, and he was also awarded for the novels The Dragon's Bride, Madžun and The Truth, but not very likely about the Pustopolski family, about the house next to Vardar and about the four rings. He received the „Grigor Prličev“ award twice for his renditions of Charles Baudelaire and Alain Bosquet, as well as a whole series of awards and recognitions on the international literary scene. The publishing house Magor from Skopje published his Selected Works in ten volumes. His books were published in several languages, including Croatian.
