Benjamin Balint
Benjamin Balint (1979.) is an Israeli-American author and translator. He's living in Jerusalem and working at The Van Leer Institute. He has previously taught literature at the Al-Quds Bard College of Arts and Sciences in East Jerusalem, the first humanities program of its kind for Palestinian students. He wrote articles for The Wall Street Journal, Haaretz, The Weekly Standard, Claremont Review of Books and Die Zeit, and his translations from Hebrew appeared in The New Yorker, Poetry International, i Crazyhorse. He wrote several acclaimed books, of which Running Commentary (2010), Kafka's last trial (2018) and Jerusalem: City of the Book (2019, in collaboration with Merav Mack) are the most famous.
Kafka's last trial has been translated to eight languages.
